How We Are Funded
It is a Buddhist tradition for monks and nuns to be supported through donations. Monks and nuns have been passing on the Dharma for thousands of years and are supported by the population through donations. Generosity (Dana) is an essential component of Buddhist practice.
Our monastery Wassermond would like to adhere to this principle. Everyone should have the opportunity to participate. With your donation you support the construction and maintenance of the monastery, the livelihood of the nuns living there and all the activities offered there.
The parent organization Miao Fa Centre for Meditation and Chan Buddhism is recognized as a non-profit organization. We are also happy to issue a donation receipt on request.
