Pentecost retreat for young people (16-28 yrs.)

Many young people are currently experiencing how intense and overwhelming this time can be. Crises everywhere, constant input, constant comparisons, always new news, always new opinions.

You want to do something meaningful, make a difference, not just consume. And yet you still often feel overwhelmed, disoriented or powerless. Social media often reinforces this feeling even more.

We see around the clock what is going wrong, what others seem to be doing better and how best to stage our lives. Everything is visible, everything is evaluated, everything is loud. And somewhere in between, you can easily lose touch with yourself.

This is precisely when it can be important not only to look for answers on the outside, but also to start with yourself.

This retreat in the Buddhist monastery in the countryside is an invitation to create space for exactly that:
for a real reset, for peace, for clarity and for a journey inwards – without cell phones, without constant noise, without digital filters.

In the peaceful atmosphere of the monastery, you can consciously pause, take a deep breath and look deeper:

  • What is actually “real”?
  • And how do I actually want to live?

We practice sitting and walking meditation indoors and outdoors, mindful working, mindful eating and listen to talks by the Buddhist monk, Venerable Tenzin Peljor, and the nun Shifu Simplicity. There is also the opportunity to exchange ideas with other young people who have similar questions and are open to real experiences instead of just scrolling.

  • The program is rather intensive and is practiced together as a group.
  • Accommodation: Shared room
  • Food: vegetarian, vegan also possible
